TV Shows I'm Watching During Quarantine

You really start to realize you're in quarantine when you're discussing TV shows and content to devour as often as we are in this time. It is though to stay at home, but we are lucky that streaming services are pumping out such great content! Below is a list of the shows I couldn't get enough of during this quarantine and where to watch them.

Little Fires Everywhere (Hulu): I read this book and it was wonderful and I have to say I wasn't mad at the TV show like book-readers sometimes can be. I found the book in Reese Witherspoon's book club and she decided to turn it into a TV show that she would also star in after she finished the book. The show is set in a town called Shaker Heights with newcomers, Mia and Pearl. The show brings up a lot of issues that really keep your brain going during this otherwise somewhat boring time. I am not sure if it is a limited series (as the show ended how the book did) or if they're going to pull a Handmaid's Tale and keep going with it. I hope they do!

High Fidelity (Hulu): This show stars Zoe Kravitz as Rob and is set in New York City (pre-quarantine, obviously). She's doing the somewhat typical navigating New York on your own and trying to get by TV show. I do always have a soft spot for the NYC TV shows like I think a lot of us do, but I especially liked this one. Rob is running a record store and over analyzing her "top five heartbreaks." Again, I highly recommend and I hope this show continues on.

Scrubs (Hulu): This one I am watching again along with the "Fake Doctors, Real Friends" podcast. It's great to watch it and then listen to a discussion on it. It really gets your brain going again and it gives you a lot of interesting insight into the behind the scenes of it all. And it's still a really good show, especially for being 20 years old at this point.

The Office (Netflix): Honestly, I think everyone was watching The Office anyway. I don't think I'm alone in using this as my "I don't know what to watch and I might fall asleep to this show" I did just learn that there is a re watch podcast for this show as well with the actors who play Pam and Angela. Apparently, they're great friends in real life. Since I'm having so much fun with the Scrubs re watch, I'm thinking I'll start this for The Office as well!

There you have it. Some content for quarantine. We're all a little bored, sad and stir-crazy, so let's all figure out how we can be a little bit better for everyone during this. I watched Little Fires Everywhere as they came out and it was nice to have something to look forward to on Wednesday night. I recommend trying not to binge-watch things and giving yourself some anticipation - like we used to have in the old days when we waited a week for a show to come out AND watched commercials. Simpler times.
